The Claymore is the most plentiful mine available, but also the least damaging overall. These mines have a 1.5 tile trigger radius and throw out shrapnel when they explode, dealing Area of Effect Bullet damage to ground units. When fully upgraded however, they are capable of destroying any infantry except the engineer, giving them the role of Anti-Infantry mines. As always, be wary of fast units and Heroes' abilites which can detonate the mines without casualties.
Upgrades[ | ]
Since Patch 1.1.0, not only can mines be replenished, but it has been possible to upgrade mines to increase damage, with visual graphics used to show this:
- Level 1 and 2 mines are the basic grey and blue combination
- Level 3 and 4 mines have blue rings still, but the centre and base change to a golden colour
- Level 5 and 6 mines become fully gold with centre, ring and base all the same colour
As with all mines, they are placed instantly, and do not require a free builder to do so. Yet they will require a free builder for upgrading as any other structure.
